I seriously married the best man in the world. He’s kind, loving and humble when he wins. If you’ve been following along on my blog series, you’ll know about my unfortunate fridge-dining room situation. If this is the first time you’re tuning in, well I put my fridge in my dining room twenty years ago and I am finally getting it fixed!
My chat with my husband went perfectly. He agreed that the fridge in the dining room doesn’t work well, but during the whole conversation, he didn’t once make me feel bad for putting it there. There wasn’t even a semblance of ‘I told you so’ in his demeanour. I’m such a lucky woman.
As we were talking about what our ideal kitchen would look like and what type of kitchen renovations we would like, my husband also made some suggestions on other areas of the house that we could renovate. I listened to his ideas very intently because he was right last time about putting the fridge in the dining room.
One idea that interested me, in particular, was about renovating the bathroom. If you remember, I thought about posing this idea to him in my last blog but I didn’t want to overwhelm him with all the prices. He brought it up before I did, and I wholeheartedly agreed with the idea. Once I had agreed, he then proposed getting professional laundry renovations. Melbourne, which is where we live, usually contains homes that are smaller than the ones further out in the suburbs. It makes sense, seeing as the cost of living is higher closer to the city, but buying here has meant that we’ve never had a proper laundry. This has never bothered either of us too much, but he said that we may as well get one whilst we have the opportunity. Personally, I couldn’t agree more.
I love this man more than I could ever say.
