I’m In Love

Everyone says life is sunshine and roses and I never believed them. In fact, for the longest time, I thought that life was the complete opposite. It was dark and dreary and nothing would ever change that. I thought people were just pretending to be happy all the time and used it as kind of like a front to not have to answer questions about their lives. I thought it was all a lie – I was wrong. Life IS sunshine and rainbows!

What changed, you may be wondering? Valentine’s Day is what changed my life. Until last week I had never been in love. I fell in love on Valentine’s Day when a merchant on the side of the road handed me a beautiful bouquet of Valentine’s Day flowers. In Glen Waverely I didn’t think a person like this could exist. I didn’t even know this man but when I looked into his eyes and saw just how beautiful he was and the flowers were, I fell instantly in love.

The feeling that I felt was indescribable. I felt the biggest weight lift off my shoulders. I seriously saw the world get brighter. I went from viewing everything with a grey tinge to see the colour in things. I didn’t know the sky could look so beautiful. I didn’t know anything could look that beautiful, if I’m honest.

And you should have seen just how BEAUTIFUL the bunch of roses were that the man handed me. They were so vibrant that the colours were almost dancing off the petals. I had truly never seen anything like it.

I can now safely say that life is indeed sunshine and rainbows, or in this case, roses, because I now LOVE roses. Life is the best thing in the world and I can’t wait to talk to the love of my life again. It’s time to get to know him.
